The Check On Me Project
Our goal is to bring awareness to people who may struggle with mobility or trauma that prevents them from getting out of their home in the event of an emergency. We want to bring awareness to their situation by providing a sticker that they can display so neighbors or first responders will know to CHECK ON ME!

About the Founder
Ava Mayo
With a degree in Public Policy from New York University, Ava has a passion for advocacy, both for herself and others. As a wheelchair user, Ava hopes to spread awareness for those who have mobility issues in an area that people do not often think about. By starting the Check on Me Project, she is confident that this is an important and necessary topic for all communities. Ava will be attending law school and plans on using her advocacy skills in healthcare law and policy.
